How Deltabase One Works

Deltabase One is Deltabase’s People & Culture Intelligence platform for advisory and consulting firms, combining Workforce Intelligence, Talent Intelligence and Culture Intelligence in a single environment. This page explains where its data comes from, how its benchmarking works, and how it differs from traditional HR analytics tools.

Where the data comes from

Deltabase One aggregates large-scale data from external, structured sources rather than a single internal system. These include public company disclosures, job postings, professional profiles, commercial datasets, employee review content and company reports. These signals are processed through proprietary data pipelines and mapped against three expert-built frameworks, each covering 12 topics — the Workforce Framework, the Talent Framework and the Culture Framework, the last of which was developed with behavioural scientists and culture experts.

The Workforce, Talent and Culture Frameworks

Every company in Deltabase One is assessed against the same 12 topics within each framework, so results are directly comparable across a peer set. See What Is Workforce Intelligence?, What Is Talent Intelligence? and What Is Culture Intelligence? for what each topic measures.

How benchmarking works

Deltabase One benchmarks a company against a defined peer set of direct competitors or comparable organisations, using the same standardised framework topics across every company in that peer set so results are directly comparable and a company’s position relative to its peers is clear on every topic.

How accuracy is validated

Deltabase One states a benchmarking accuracy of over 85%, validated against 11M employee reviews, across a dataset covering 5,500+ companies and 42 sectors.

How this differs from traditional HR analytics tools

Traditional HR analytics platforms and employee engagement surveys are built on internal data only — a company’s own headcount, hiring and survey records, often captured as a single, static snapshot. Deltabase One instead adds an external intelligence layer: standardised, benchmarked data spanning thousands of companies, so a company’s workforce, talent and culture can be understood relative to its market and competitors, not only against its own history.

Deltabase vs Deltabase One

Deltabase is the parent Competitive Intelligence company, covering a broader set of services — culture intelligence, leadership assessments, talent insights, workforce analysis, HR transformation support, technology evaluations, customer insights and product expertise — across 11,000+ companies in 20+ countries. Deltabase One is Deltabase’s dedicated People & Culture Intelligence product, purpose-built as a standalone platform for consultancies, drawing on a focused dataset of 5,500+ companies across 42 sectors.

Where does Deltabase One’s data come from?

Deltabase One aggregates data from multiple external, structured sources: public company disclosures, job postings, professional profiles, commercial datasets, employee review content and company reports. These signals are processed through proprietary data pipelines and mapped to expert-built Workforce, Talent and Culture frameworks — rather than relying on a single internal survey or dataset.

How does Deltabase One’s benchmarking work?

Each company is assessed against a defined peer set of direct competitors or comparable organisations using Deltabase’s standardised Workforce, Talent and Culture frameworks, so every company in the peer set is measured on the same topics in the same way and results are directly comparable.

What makes Deltabase One different from traditional HR analytics tools?

Most HR analytics platforms and engagement surveys only show a company’s own, internally-sourced data captured at a single point in time. Deltabase One adds an external intelligence layer — standardised, continuously-refreshed benchmarking data spanning 5,500+ companies across 42 sectors — so a company’s workforce, talent and culture can be understood relative to its market, not just against its own history.

How is Deltabase One’s benchmarking accuracy validated?

Deltabase One states a benchmarking accuracy of over 85%, validated against 11M employee reviews.

How current is Deltabase One’s data?

Deltabase One is built to provide real-time insight into organisational culture and workforce dynamics, continuously incorporating new signals as they become available, rather than relying on a single point-in-time survey.
